Thank you for visiting the Inspired Gardener plant lists for 2008. Similar to last season's catalog, the pages within contain information on the many interesting plants being offered for the 2008 gardening season. As always, this season's plants are a diverse group, exceptional in form and flower and compatible with the often fickle climate of southern New Hampshire. Some of the entries in this catalog are unusual or hard to find and quantities are limited. If you are looking for something in particular and do not see it listed, please feel welcome to inquire.
Inspired Gardener specializes in providing gardeners with a source for select, high quality plants that are largely overlooked by the nursery industry. Many of these plants are relatively new to the market, while other are offered because they are matchless in their usefulness. The underlying principle here is that beauty in the garden and landscape need not be the province of any single season. A well made garden is not quantified solely by a volley of summer blossoms and is seldom defined only by a handful of plants. Thoughtful design is as much about creativity and experimentation as it is about convention.
The great thing about
building a garden is that there are as many ways to go
about it as
there are people endeavoring to do so. Aside from one’s imagination, a gardener
is limited only by the whims of climate and the availability of compatible
plants. Being unable to influence the former, I attempt in some small way to
improve upon the latter. Whether you are a beginning gardener or a seasoned
hand, it is my hope that you will find something here worthy of a special
